Do you love theatre?  Are you excited about all of the developing theater companies in Santa Fe and the work they’re presenting?  Santa Fe Theater Lovers Club is a circle of individuals who feel passionate about theatre. It is part of the Theatre Santa Fe alliance of theaters. By joining, you will gain the opportunity to tour theaters, get acquainted with playwrights, directors, producers, actors, and tech staff, and gain insights about the plays being produced.

International Shakespeare Center talks about King Lear

Tuesday • September 4 • 6-7 p.m.
Adobe Rose Theatre • 1213 Parkway Drive • Santa Fe

Robin Williams and Caryl Farkas talk about the upcoming production of King Lear at the Adobe Rose. Hear the director’s vision, what the cast has been doing this entire year in preparation, peek in at the rehearsal process, talk to a couple of the actors.

Argos MacCallum and Juliet Marie Salazar speak on Atacama

Tuesday • September 11 • 6- 7 p.m.
Teatro Paraguas • 3205 Calle Marie • Santa Fe

Argos MacCallum, Executive Director of Teatro Paraguas, and Juliet Marie Salazar, Director of Atacama, give a talk on the world premiere of this work by award-winning and renowned playwright, Augusto Federico Amador.

Atacama is a two-person play about a man and a woman who meet in the northern Chilean desert while searching for bone fragments of loved ones disappeared by the Pinochet regime. They find a deep and unsettling connection that shakes their souls.

The Oasis Theatre Company announces its second season in Santa Fe

Tuesday • October 2 • 6-7 p.m.
Teatro Paraguas Annex A • 3205 Calle Marie, Suite A • Santa Fe

Brenda Lynn Bynum, Artistic Director of The Oasis Theatre Company, will discuss upcoming projects for the company including its second season here in Santa Fe, guided by the theme: Trust Issues . . . we’ve all got them. Main stage productions include Uncle Vanya in October, Mamet Mania in November, The Winter’s Tale in February, and The Miser in March.

In addition to this exciting season, Oasis is in the process of converting the rehearsal studio next door to Teatro Paraguas into a performance venue called Annex A. This talk will be the first event in the renovated space.
