Wise Fool New Mexico presents
BUST! 2018 Circus Performance
The incredibly talented and courageous participants of the 16th annual Wise Fool New Mexico BUST Circus Intensive will be performing. The sense of pride, unity, and loving support among the people that emerge out of the BUST! experience is overwhelmingly positive, and simply put, life-changing! This year’s show is directed by Freyr A. Marie with support of the BUST! Leadership Team: Fantina Becker, Oriana Lee, Carey Cramer, Colleen McKeown, and Freyr A. Marie.
BUST! Circus Performance challenges social barriers, while strengthening community! Through circus arts and transformative growth, students support one another in various stages of physical and emotional expression BUST! students perform partner acrobalance, trapeze, aerial fabric, stilt-walking, clowning, and physical theater! Such bravery inspires us all to overcome our fears in taking on individual and societal challenges and to allow our vulnerable, strong, expressive selves to shine.
Since 2002, every year we have amazing people come explore circus disciplines in a seven-week intensive workshop. Women, trans*, and gender non-conforming folks of ages 16+, of different shapes, sizes, and experiences, join together to challenge themselves and support each other. Many participants may come to this program with little or no experience in circus or performance. They work together to create powerful,
awe-inspiring, and often hilarious acts that express their own unique, embodied voices.
Wise Fool's BUST Circus Intensive Workshops strive to create a brave space for participants and welcomes all ability levels so folks can come together and explore their physical and inner strength while building trust and community.

“My life will never be the same post-BUST. I am living my truth by doing and being who I am.
