Cabaret
by Kander, Ebb, and Masteroff

Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome!

As Germany’s Golden Twenties come to a close, the Master of Ceremonies of the Kit Kat Klub welcomes everyone to his cabaret, where reality is sure to dissolve and give way to indulgence and hedonism. While the world outside is full of change and uncertainty with the rise of the Third Reich, the Emcee creates a more satisfying world which gives a spotlight to young Sally Bowles. The two of them, alongside the Kit Kat dancers, show just how much fun an evening can be despite the dark, tumultuous air outside.

The story is not without trouble as Sally meets another expat, Cliff. There is love and upheaval and not just between Sally and Cliff: Their German landlady finds herself amidst a romance with a German Jew, but we see the troubles ahead and know these loves may not survive. The world as they know it is bound for change.

This production includes musical numbers known the world across, such as: Wilkommen, Cabaret, Don’t Tell Mama, and Two Ladies. Join us at the Cabaret for an evening to forget all your troubles!
